Control engineer

Job Overview

Looking for a controls engineer with PLC, HMI, robotics, and vision systems experience to design, program and implement machine runoff. This role will grow into a leadership position as the engineering manager, owning projects from cradle to grave.

Program and integrate control systems (PLC, HMI, robots) on time and to spec; deliver first‑pass success, customer rollout, and site startup with minimal debug or callbacks. Ensure functional and safety compliance with e‑stops, light curtains, and safety PLC logic. Maintain documentation (I/O lists, safety matrix, HMI screens, backup code) current, versioned, and uploaded at project close. Contribute reusable code modules to the AMS library.

Collaborate with internal teams and customers, improving repeat orders. Lead technical improvement projects and mentor junior engineers; demonstrate mastery of at least one new technology per year.
