OVERVIEW
We are currently seeking a HSE Specialist II for our Brent Spence Project in Cincinnati, OH. The HSE Specialist II coordinates, implements and monitors all aspects of the health, safety and environmental (EHS) processes at various project locations. The HSE Specialist II will work on projects of complexity, provide training and guidance at this level, and will have greater responsibility for process improvement.

- Periodically conduct comprehensive EHS assessments.
- Recommend corrective measures for unsafe conditions to project management.
- Provide training and education to company personnel regarding EHS requirements and recommend advancements to materials.
- Assist project management in the coordination of subcontractor EHS protocols, vendor and owner personnel working on company projects.
- Coordinate project EHS programs with subcontractors.
- Assist in planning and coordinating work to minimize risks, and aggressively manage losses involving injuries or property damages.
- Conduct accident investigations and complete incident reporting for project management review.
- Establish hospital and clinical care facilities for each project.
- Accompany injured employees to treatment and medical evaluation.
- Ensure all EHS protocols are followed.
- Advise project management on industrial hygiene protocols and perform environmental monitoring.
- Administer the company’s drug‑free workplace policy, ensuring proper testing for pre‑employment, vehicle authorization, reasonable suspicion, post‑accident, random and follow‑up.
- Facilitate orientation of all project employees to the EHS practices required by the company.
- Provide a weekly safety update to EHS leadership.
- Administer the corporate SPAT process on assigned projects.
- High school diploma; bachelor’s degree or equivalent preferred.
- CHST (Construction Health & Safety Technician) certification preferred.
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in the construction safety field.
- Some travel required.
- Required to stand, walk, sit and climb stairs or ladders.
- OSHA 30‑hour training preferred.
- First aid, CPR, AED preferred.
- Self‑motivated with leadership skills.
