We are seeking a Packaging Development Engineer in Cincinnati to help qualify a new packaging system, including a durable tub, a refill pack, and a specialty molded component. You will handle testing, data analysis, troubleshooting, and documentation to ensure everything is production-ready.
ResponsibilitiesCoordinate
Qualification:
Manage material sourcing, tool construction, and molded samples with internal teams and external suppliers.Testing & Analysis: Run performance tests on injection-molded parts, thermoformed containers, and flexible films (testing for structural integrity, barrier properties, and compatibility).
Documentation: Use R&D systems (Nexus, Enovia, Teams) to accurately track, analyze, and log test results and compliance data.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Design, QA, Safety, and Regulatory teams to keep projects on track.
Injection Molding: Good understanding of part design, materials (like TPEs/TPUs), and assembly qualification.
Thermoforming & Flexibles: Knowledge of film structures, heat sealing, and finished pack testing.
Teamwork: Ability to communicate and collaborate across different technical and non-technical teams.
Hours: Up to 40 hours/week. Core hours are 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM (flexible).
Location: Cincinnati, OH (requires occasional travel to local sites).
