Job Overview

As an environmental compliance focused Senior Project Manager/Principal in the Cincinnati, OH office of Civil & Environmental Consultants, Inc. (CEC), you will be responsible for the direction of this service within the office's environmental practice. Daily duties include managing clients, developing new business, mentoring junior staff, and providing senior direction on a variety of projects related to multi‑media environmental compliance (air, water, and waste).

Responsibilities
  • Manage multiple projects, including budgeting and cost control.
  • Supervise technical staff and provide mentoring.
  • Prepare and submit regulatory submittals.
  • Develop and maintain client relationships and business development initiatives.
  • Interface and negotiate with regulatory agencies.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Geology, Environmental Science, Civil/Environmental Engineering (master's preferred) or equivalent.
  • 10+ years of experience in environmental compliance.
  • Professional writing skills and experience with regulatory submittals.
  • Experience managing project budgets and cost control.
  • Experience supervising technical staff.
  • Experience in client management and business development.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Professional Engineering License (P.E.), Professional Geologist (PG), or Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH).
  • Multi‑media environmental compliance experience (air permitting preferred).
  • Health & safety/OSHA compliance experience.
  • Existing client connections in manufacturing, power, oil & gas, and/or mining sectors.
  • Experience with regulatory agency interface and negotiations.
