We are searching for the best talent for a Senior Electrical Engineer, R&D - Med Tech to support our handheld medical devices business. This role will be located in Cincinnati, OH & work a Flex/Hybrid schedule with 3 days per week on-site. Relocation assistance is available for the ideal candidate.

Our business offers a broad range of products and technologies, including surgical staplers, clip appliers, trocars and sealing devices-that are used in a wide variety of minimally invasive and open surgical procedures.

Purpose:

The Senior Electrical Engineer will be a key member of the Capital Systems and Electrical Engineering Center-of-Excellence (COE) within the Endo-mechanical & Energy R&D organization.

The Senior R&D Electrical Engineer will work cross‑functionally with hardware and system engineering, quality, regulatory, manufacturing, and supply chain teams to drive a broad range of initiatives-from new product development and product enhancements to regulatory compliance, quality improvements, process simplification, and cost optimization. As part of the COE, s/he will serve as a technical leader/subject-matter-expert, influence best practices and help elevate electrical engineering capabilities across the organization.

This role offers a unique blend of hands‑on engineering, technical leadership, and strategic problem‑solving in a fast‑paced R&D environment where innovation, quality, and reliability are critical.

You will be responsible for:

* Deliver robust electrical system solutions, leading circuit design, component selection, and seamless integration of electrical hardware and embedded software.

* Drive and coordinate high‑impact engineering changes that improve devices' electrical hardware and software performance and/or achieve cost‑optimization

* Lead or support root cause investigations, gap analysis, and corrective actions to quickly resolve electrical design, field performance, and manufacturing issues

* Drive compliance with applicable regulatory and industry, supporting verification, validation, risk management, and audit readiness.

* Provide technical mentorship, design guidance, coaching and best‑practice recommendations to engineers and project teams across the organization.

* Shape the future of the COE by driving continuous improvement in standards, tools, and engineering processes.
