Foundry Metallurgist

Overview

We are recruiting for a Foundry Metallurgist to support operations, quality initiatives, process optimization, new product development, and, drive continuous improvement efforts focused on safety, quality, productivity, yield enhancement, and cost reduction.

Candidates should possess:

• Bachelor’s degree in Metallurgy, Materials Science, Metallurgical Engineering, or a related technical discipline required, Master’s degree preferred.

• 4+ years of progressive experience in metallurgy, materials engineering, or foundry operations.
• Direct iron foundry experience required.
• Heat treatment experience required.
• Machine shop and machining process experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of ferrous metallurgy, casting processes, and heat treatment practices.
• Proven analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Experience utilizing statistical methods and process improvement tools.
