Role descriptionArcadis is hiring a Project Environmental Scientist to join its Ohio/Midwest U.S. Industrial Hygiene team. The ideal candidate is an experienced industrial hygiene professional with deep expertise in chemical exposure assessments, noise monitoring, asbestos, lead-based paint, hazardous materials, indoor air quality and mold consulting, and regulatory compliance. This position offers the chance to work on a variety of projects, collaborate across teams, and grow professionally.
It also requires occasional overnight travel and a valid driver’s license.
- Conduct industrial hygiene surveys and oversee contractors.
- Document field activities accurately using standard forms and electronic survey tools.
- Coordinate with program managers, project teams, and subcontractors to gather information for technical reports.
- Review industrial hygiene field documentation for accuracy and completeness, validate findings, and develop recommendations with guidance from technical leadership.
- Interpret laboratory reports.
- Prepare technical memoranda and reports.
- Self-motivated, ability to work independently and with a project team in a fast-paced environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in science
- 8+ years in consulting or professional services
- Knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and state regulations related to asbestos and mold
- OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER certification
- RCRA/DOT Hazardous Waste Shipping Training
