About the Role

The CAD Automaton Engineer will be part of the Product Engineering group for Large High Voltage Motors. The engineer will develop mechanical software tools used by the Mechanical Design team, generating 3-D motor models and customer software with user or automated input. Position is held in Norwood, Ohio with a hybrid office/remote schedule. Travel is rare but may be required in special circumstances.

Responsibilities
  • Develop drafting and modeling software with globally shared tools such as Rulestream.
  • Read and interpret 2-D/3-D CAD drawings created by Innomotics or provided by customers.
  • Identify process improvements and offer valid solutions through an IT lens.
  • Own completed software tools to drive future maintenance and enhancements.
  • Communicate effectively with the Norwood Product Engineering team.
  • Communicate effectively with the IN HV Global IT team.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or IT required.
  • 2-5 years of experience in both 3-D modeling and programming.
  • Project management experience.
  • Proficiency in 2-D/3-D modeling and NX.
  • Fundamental experience with typical programming languages.
  • Experience in mechanical or electrical drafting.
  • Mechanical engineering solutions‑based mindset.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate with local and overseas teams.
  • Understanding of electronic motor configurations.
  • Excellent computer skills:
    Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.

The pay range for this position is $60,438 - $. The actual wage offered may vary depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and geographic premium.
