Electrical Engineer

W2 Position

• Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience in a direct electrical engineering role
• PCBA ideation, concept generation, design, prototyping, manufacturing, and troubleshooting experience
• Experience with analog and digital circuitry design and development
• Demonstrated proficiency in Cadence and/or Altium to design, simulate, and analyze circuit designs
• Experience with embedded electrical design
• Demonstrated ability to debug and test electrical systems using oscilloscopes and other test tools
• Detailed understanding of board-level printed circuit design and signal integrity issues
• Demonstrated ability working across subject areas with internal and external partners
• Strong collaboration, proven technical leadership capabilities, and conflict resolution skills

• Experience formulating and coordinating different engineering approaches to test hypotheses, such as hand calculations, computational modeling and simulation, empirical testing (benchtop and in vivo) and method development as appropriate
• Experience with rigid-flex PCBAs and flex PCBAs
• Experience with integration of motors in electrical systems
• Knowledge and how to control DC motors (brushed, brushless, servo, etc.)
• Experience with various communication protocols (Bluetooth, SPI, I2C, USB, UART, USART, etc.)
• Design for electromagnetic compatibility and immunity, electrically fast transients, electrostatic discharge, etc.
• Experience with IEC 60601-1, IEC 60601-2-2, etc.
• Design for test, manufacture, and assembly
• Design control experience

Minimum Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or similar field required; dual degrees or advanced degree preferred.
