Overview

We are representing a highly regarded aerospace and advanced manufacturing client in its search for a Supply Chain Manager. The role sits within a Cincinnati operation that supports flagship commercial engine programs and customers worldwide, at a time when the business is opening up entirely new markets across North America, Europe, and Asia. This role focuses on architecting and expanding a global supply chain during a period of growth.

We are searching for a leader who is happy to operate hands on, capable of owning global sourcing, sharpening supplier performance, and instilling operational excellence across a complex international network.

What you will do
  • Keep purchasing within the bounds of industry regulations and company policy.
  • Craft and deliver global procurement strategies to achieve cost, quality, and delivery targets.
  • Expand supplier networks for aerospace-grade components and materials.
  • Lead the full procure-to-pay lifecycle: RFQs, supplier selection, negotiations, purchase orders, delivery tracking, and invoice resolution.
  • Evaluate and elevate supplier performance using metrics, audits, risk assessments, and corrective actions.
  • Guide, mentor, and build out a high-caliber team with attention to performance management and succession planning.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, and Operations to resolve supply issues and maintain production continuity.
  • Drive department KPIs and support broader company objectives.
Requirements
  • Ability to read and apply engineering drawings, specifications, and bills of materials (BOMs).
  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven track record in supplier negotiations, contract management, and relationship building.
  • Seven+ years of international supply chain experience in aerospace, defense, or other regulated manufacturing.
  • Understanding of metal commodities and outside processing or treatments.
  • Leadership or management tenure of at least four years.
  • Thorough knowledge of aerospace manufacturing processes (machining, milling, fabrication, casting, forging).
  • Experience sourcing complex machined parts, specialized components, or advanced materials.
  • Willingness to travel internationally as needed.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
Preferred
  • Experience expanding supplier networks in new regions or markets.
  • Master’s degree in a relevant field.
  • Familiarity with ERP platforms, especially Global Shop or Epicor.
  • Accredited supply chain certification (e.g., CPSM, CPIM, CSCP).
