Consultant, Environmental Technician

Your new role

Hybrid-based position for our Cincinnati office. Remote candidates that are in KY, IN and OH will be considered.

As a new Environmental Technician in our Site Solutions team, you will help deliver innovative, inspiring, and sustainable solutions that set new standards and make a genuine difference to our clients, the environment, and society.

• Provide independent and team-based on-site project and contractor oversight during large construction and demolition projects.
• Conduct sampling, identification, and quantification of materials utilized in industrial and manufacturing processes.
• Provide support on environmental characterization, investigation, remediation, data analysis, ecological assessment, and remedial strategy and implementation projects.
• Perform site reconnaissance of industrial and commercial facilities, primarily in the Midwest.
• Conduct reviews of federal, state, and local environmental regulatory laws and regulations for waste, air quality, and water quality programs where current and historical chemical use, storage, disposal practices, and equipment maintenance are assessed.
• Evaluation of risks present and determining the probability for agency actions is a vital part of why our clients view us as their trusted advisors.

• Experience in industrial or manufacturing settings; a degree is not required, but an associate’s or B.S. degree in a relatable engineering or environmental field is a plus.
• Experience in industrial waste identification, management and disposal.
• Experience in site investigation, contaminated site remedial design and implementation, and environmental due diligence including Phase I ESAs and regulatory compliance and applicability assessments.
• Experience with material sampling.
• OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER or RCRA training is a plus.
• Physical requirements:
  
  climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, standing/sitting/walking, pushing/pulling, and lifting up to 40 lbs. Exposure to extremes in weather, high noise levels, hazards such as proximity to moving machine parts and vehicles, electrical current, and chemicals. May require specific training and PPE.
• Must be willing to travel up to 50% on average over the year and possess a valid driver's license. Travel may include overnight stays and may be out of state. Duration may range from one week to multiple weeks, depending on project requirements.

The anticipated base salary range for this position is $69,222 - $102,536 per year. This range reflects the compensation we reasonably expect to offer at the time of posting. Actual compensation will vary based on factors such as location, skills, experience, education, and internal equity.

Because we operate across multiple U.S. markets, pay may differ depending on the cost of labor in specific locations. In addition to base salary, this position may be eligible for bonus, overtime or other forms of compensation and we offer a comprehensive benefits package that supports well-being, professional development, and work-life balance.
