Are you passionate about solving complex engineering challenges? Do you enjoy programming and working with electrical and mechanical systems? We are seeking an experienced Automation Engineer to develop innovative automation solutions for a wide range of industrial applications.

In this role, you will apply your programming expertise and engineering knowledge to design, develop, and commission software that interfaces with and controls industrial hardware. You'll work both independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams and clients, managing technical projects, troubleshooting systems, and delivering high-quality automation solutions.

Responsibilities
  • Develop automation applications following established programming standards and engineering best practices.
  • Design, program, test, and commission automation systems at customer sites, including domestic and international travel as required.
  • Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and control system issues during implementation and startup.
  • Program and support industrial automation platforms, including PLCs, HMIs, SCADA systems, motion control, robotics, and machine vision.
  • Work with leading automation technologies such as Siemens, Rockwell, Ignition, and other industrial control platforms.
  • Participate in system architecture design and contribute throughout all phases of engineering projects.
  • Manage multiple projects while maintaining strong communication with customers and internal teams.
  • Provide technical leadership by mentoring junior engineers and supporting project teams.
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships while delivering technical solutions that meet project objectives.
  • Continuously expand technical knowledge and stay current with emerging automation technologies.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
  • Minimum GPA of 3.2.
  • 5–7+ years of experience in industrial automation or a related engineering field.
  • Strong programming skills, including experience with text-based programming languages and object-oriented programming concepts.
  • Experience designing and implementing industrial automation systems, including PLCs, HMIs, SCADA, motion control, process control, robotics, and machine vision.
  • Ability to quickly learn new technologies and understand complex engineering systems.
  • Experience managing multiple technical projects while working directly with customers.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare technical documentation and project proposals.
  • Experience leading technical teams or mentoring engineers is preferred.
  • Interest in supporting projects across a variety of industries.
  • Ability to travel approximately 25%–40% as required.
