Regulatory Compliance Specialist, Field/Service Technician
Resource Innovations is seeking a Team Lead for an Energy Efficiency Field Team in Ohio to spearhead our Inflation Reduction Act Program field delivery. The Team Lead will build and lead a dynamic field service team dedicated to delivering high‑quality in‑home energy audits and ensuring quality control for the HOMES and HEAR programs. Responsibilities include managing BPI‑certified technicians, conducting in‑home energy audits focused on income‑based participants, overseeing residential weatherization, HVAC, and water heating installation inspections, and collaborating with contractor networks and cross‑functional teams to enhance program efficiency.
Dutiesand Responsibilities
- Supervise, coach, and support field technicians to ensure high‑quality installation and service.
- Review and QC field technician audits and ensure energy modeling requirements are met.
- Assist leadership in recruiting and training BPI‑certified Energy Auditors.
- Manage verification processes across programs, ensuring assignment selection and documentation completion.
- Conduct onsite inspections, create inspection reports, and address any issues identified.
- Implement energy audit protocols and QA/QC requirements to enhance program effectiveness.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen.
- Must reside in a metropolitan area of Ohio.
- 2+ years of experience in energy efficiency, utility programs, quality assurance, consulting, HVAC, or facility maintenance.
- Experience leading teams.
- BPI Certified, or willing to obtain certification within 30 days of acceptance.
- Technical knowledge of building science, construction, energy‑using systems, lighting, and audit technologies.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Maintain current auto insurance coverage that meets state requirements.
- Access to a personal vehicle for work‑related travel; ability to travel 25–75% (limited overnight travel).
- Interest in sustainability and passion for making a meaningful impact on the environment.
Education and Experience
- People management skills.
- Excellent verbal, interpersonal, and written communication skills.
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and decision‑making abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced environment while managing multiple priorities.
- Strong business ethics, including protection of proprietary and confidential information.
- Proficiency with Snugg Pro, Microsoft Office Suite, and CRM tools.
- Customer service‑oriented mindset.
- Ability to apply detailed knowledge of organizational procedures to make independent decisions and serve as a credible resource for senior management.
- Interest in sustainability and passion for making a meaningful impact on the environment.
Competitive base salary ranging from $75,000 to $85,000, with potential discretionary annual bonus.
