The Engineering Co-op will apply their academic knowledge to provide practical, project-focused support, collaborate effectively, and gain practical hands-on experience that advances both personal development and the Engineering team's goals. The Co-Op will work with the Engineering team to support the design, development and implementation of TMS products and processes. Follows all TMS procedures and forms in compliance to ISO 9001, ISO
17025 and other applicable standards.
- Cooperates as a member of the TMS team.
- Provide support to Engineering Team as required for efficient customer needs.
- Learn as much as possible about practical engineering work experience.
- Engage in regular team meetings, contributing insights, asking questions and providing project updates.
- Gains as much practical experience in the workplace related to area of study by shadowing the Engineering team members, learning the relevant tools, systems and products and completing assigned projects and tasks.
- Take on special engineering projects or process improvement initiatives assigned by supervisors to support the team's operational efficiency.
- Interact with cross-functional teams, including Quality, Production, and Sales, to gain a holistic view of the product development lifecycle.
- Take occasional business trips to customer's sites or strategic partners' sites for engineering projects or customer needs.
- Performs other related duties as assigned for the efficient operation of the team.
- Education:
Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's of Science Engineering Program in the applicable engineering discipline of the co-op position (Mechanical, Electrical, Software) or related field from an accredited university. - Experience:
Personal or academic-based engineering project experience required. Team-oriented attitude with a strong desire to learn and contribute. Strong problem-solving and computer skills required.
- Previous co-op, internship or other employment experience is preferred.

This position requires access to "controlled technology" as defined in the Export Administration Regulations (15 C.F.R. §730 et. seq.) and "technical data" as defined in the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (22 C.F.R, Chapter 1, Subchapter M).
