Job Summary
Landrum & Brown is a global aviation consulting firm with airports at the core of our DNA. We’re looking for enthusiastic, detail‑oriented individuals to join our team as Aviation Environmental Planner. In this role you will collaborate with industry experts to deliver environmental solutions for airports, including developing Environmental Impact Statements, conducting analyses, and contributing to sustainability and compliance.
Key Responsibilities- Analyze data, prepare reports, and present findings in ways that make an impact.
- Implement our top‑notch Quality Assurance/Quality Control procedures.
- Conduct environmental impact analyses and technical studies to support airport‑related initiatives.
- Maintain GIS databases or conduct noise monitoring as specialized tasks.
- Collaborate closely with a dynamic team, coordinate with interns, and communicate effectively across practices.
- Take on additional duties that align with your interests and help you grow professionally.
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Urban or Environmental Planning is preferred.
- Demonstrated experience in GIS analysis, aviation management, or a related field is desirable.
- A passion for the aviation industry and sustainability.
- Strong communication and analytical skills to tackle complex problems.
- Technical know‑how in data analysis, AutoCAD, or GIS is a plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Experience with NEPA documentation or airport consulting – even better!
- Knowledge of FAA standards for air quality and noise analysis is a bonus.
- Hands‑on experience in real‑world aviation projects.
