Lead the development and qualification efforts of medical device technologies and assembly lines to meet cost, quality, and performance targets. Collaborate with R&D, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain to drive product and process solutions to market. Provide technical support to drive development, qualification, and stabilization execution. Apply Design for Manufacturing & Assembly (DFMA) techniques, Lean Six Sigma process knowledge, and Failure Mode Effects Analysis (FMEA) tools to drive product design to its most efficient outcome.

Resolve technical challenges using engineering principles and manage a complex project portfolio. Write protocols and completion reports in compliance with FDA regulations. Develop and maintain manufacturing lines, troubleshoot, and solve critical issues to optimize scrap and efficiency. Leverage mechanical skills for machine shop work. Use CAD to create drawings for manufacturing of production parts. Apply PLC knowledge to qualify software systems, troubleshoot, and document issues for software fixes.

Qualify Vision Systems used in manufacturing and implement best practices to ensure proper operation. Travel internationally to provide assembly and test equipment development, startup, and launch support outside the US (primarily Mexico). Train on-site engineers, technicians, and operators on equipment function and troubleshooting.

May work at various unanticipated locations throughout U.S., including El Paso, TX. Travel 30% (domestic and international, primarily Mexico).

Requirements: Employer will accept a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Mechatronics, Electrical, or Industrial), Control Systems and Software, or related field, and 7 years of experience in the job offered or in a related occupation.
