Role DescriptionThe Cincinnati, OH team is looking for a dedicated, creative, and energetic Entry Level Water Engineer to tackle challenges and develop sustainable solutions for water issues such as quality, scarcity, reuse, management, and resilience. Collaborating with experienced water professionals, you will support and drive the development of projects, interact with clients, and develop your technical capabilities.
Responsibilities- Evaluate, plan, and design water/wastewater/stormwater projects, including pipelines, treatment plants, and pumping facilities.
- Perform data analysis, technical writing, engineering calculations, detailed drawings, cost estimation, and coordination with equipment manufacturers.
- Support project management activities and, when required, conduct field work such as site visits, sampling, water quality analysis, and equipment inventory preparation.
- Assist in construction-dependent design projects by supporting contractors through equipment reviews, answering questions, and observing construction activities.
- Prepare reports, presentations, and other audio‑visual materials; participate in client meetings.
- Ensure compliance with Arcadis practices, quality, health and safety standards, and facilitate coordination for timely completion and submission of projects on time and within budget.
- Work independently and as part of a team, collaborating with members across the U.S. and internationally.
- Use digital tools to enhance customer experience, team and client collaboration, and project delivery, including configuration and deployment of SharePoint, Building Information Modeling (BIM), Power BI, and Augmented Reality.
- Bachelor of Science degree in Civil, Environmental, or closely related engineering discipline.
- Strong attention to detail, exceptional organizational skills, and diligent work ethic.
- Proactive, self‑motivated, team‑oriented, and adaptable to new challenges.
- Exceptional analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Knowledge of water/wastewater/stormwater engineering concepts, theories, and practices.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), and familiarity with BIM, GIS, and Revit tools is highly desirable.
- Preferred:
Prior work or internship experience at a design or consulting engineering firm or municipal environment; EIT certification.
