• Hands-on, real-world experience in the consulting engineering industry.

Specific responsibilities will include, but not be limited to, the following:

• Site visits to gather field information as required.
• Perform engineering calculations.
• Develop and update Excel spreadsheets for document preparation.
• Participate in company meetings, providing analysis, input, and recommendations.
• Assists in the development and maintenance of project schedules.
• Report writing.
• Develop schedule to manage workload across assigned activities to achieve deadlines.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering or similar area of study.
• Knowledge of computer technology and specific areas of application, including MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Working knowledge of engineering design software preferred (e.g. Auto Cad, Revit or similar).
• Completion of two years of college coursework preferred.
• Relevant coursework and/or knowledge of power systems engineering (power & lighting) and low voltage systems preferred.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team and to adapt to changing work demands and priorities.
• Displays professional engineering ethics and complies with KFI policies and procedures.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with strong attention to detail.
• Organized and able to manage time effectively.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the US on a permanent basis without the need for work sponsorship now or in the future.
• Ability and willingness to travel if needed.

• Occasionally, some work locations will feature the tough terrain typical of construction sites or require lifting or moving field testing equipment.
