Specific responsibilities will include, but not be limited to, the following:
- Site visits to gather field information as required.
- Perform engineering calculations.
- Develop and update Excel spreadsheets for document preparation.
- Participate in company meetings, providing analysis, input, and recommendations.
- Assists in the development and maintenance of project schedules.
- Report writing.
- Develop schedule to manage workload across assigned activities to achieve deadlines.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering or similar area of study.
- Knowledge of computer technology and specific areas of application, including MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Working knowledge of engineering design software preferred (e.g. Auto Cad, Revit or similar).
- Completion of two years of college coursework preferred.
- Relevant coursework and/or knowledge of power systems engineering (power & lighting) and low voltage systems preferred.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team and to adapt to changing work demands and priorities.
- Displays professional engineering ethics and complies with KFI policies and procedures.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with strong attention to detail.
- Organized and able to manage time effectively.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the US on a permanent basis without the need for work sponsorship now or in the future.
- Ability and willingness to travel if needed.
- Occasionally, some work locations will feature the tough terrain typical of construction sites or require lifting or moving field testing equipment.
