We've been engaged by a local non-profit organization to identify their next Assistant Controller! This role will report directly into the VP of Finance and once they settle in, there will be elements of finance that will be added to their plate in addition to the accounting tasks.
Responsibilities- Manage a staff of 1+ direct reports.
- Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, as well as other regulatory requirements.
- Assist on all budgeting, forecasting, & cash flow analysis.
- Work alongside senior leadership during any strategic financial decision making.
- Oversee most of the operational accounting areas - AP, AR, etc.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance.
- CPA is preferred, but not required.
- 5-10+ years experience in accounting, ideally within a non-profit organization.
- Strong technical, analytical, and communication skills.
- Exposure to Quick Books is preferred, but not required.
