** Make banking a Fifth Third better
**** GENERAL FUNCTION:
** Complete reviews and certifications for all Bancorp Note collateral sales and transfers, which encompass Fifth Third Mortgage Originations, Third Party originations, CRA and MSR transactions. Maintain Service Level Agreement performance for customer service, key document request s, compliance audits, investor sales, and certification of loans that are responsible for generating profit premium each month for the bank.

Accountable for always doing the right thing for customers and colleagues and ensures that actions and behaviors drive a positive customer experience. While operating within the Bank’s risk appetite, achieves result s by consistently identifying,  assessing, managing, monitoring, and reporting risks of all types.

* ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

*** Follows the workflow of the custodial vault function while maintaining optimum efficiency and cost effectiveness and ensuring that production standards are met and sustained.
* Have knowledge of all processes and procedures being conducted through the department.
* Certify and process all mortgage loan sales and liquidated loans in accordance with FHLMC, FNMA & GNMA guidelines within the established deadlines, including, CRA (Community Re-investment Act) loans.
* Receive Mortgage Service Rights (MSR) collateral files from transfer custodian and complete re-certification process and tracking within the investor established timeframe.
* Processes all private Investor sales for accuracy, tracking and retains custody.
* Process jumbo sales list from Capital Markets and prepare for the sold service release transfer. Complete collateral files to be shipped to new custodian.
* Escalate issues to management that require communications with GSE’s, GNMA, Legal Counsel and other internal business partners to resolve mortgage note exception issues, in order to minimize financial risk to the Bank.
* Maintains accurate and ongoing tracking of incoming/outgoing mortgage notes to ensure Bancorp security and proper chain of custody and ownership
* Follows the guidelines, requirements, and policies of the Bank, including Safeguarding Customer Information and Risk Management.
* Maintain daily the required tracking/reporting for GNMA specific loans pools.
* Perform any other duties as assigned.

* * MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

REQUIRED:

*** High school diploma or equivalent. Some college preferred.
* Minimum of 2 years relevant experience.
* Must understand and be able to perform every function within the department.
* Must be able to work efficiently in Dok Trak.
* Good verbal and written communication, spelling, grammar and typing skills.
* Good organization skills, attention to details, self-motivated.
* Good numerical organization skills, problem solving skills.
* Advanced PC skills (Excel, Word, and Outlook).
