Overview
The Assistant Controller partners closely with the Controller to support a rapidly growing, engineering-driven manufacturing organization delivering complex, mission-critical systems. The role combines hands-on ownership of month-end close, audit support, forecasting and general ledger oversight with leadership of a small AP/AR team. This position will play a key role in costing initiatives, financial analysis and process improvements, serving as a true operational and financial partner to the business.
Responsibilities- Own the month-end close process and assist with audit support, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
- Perform forecasting, budgeting and financial analysis to support business decisions.
- Oversee the general ledger and maintain accounting policies and controls.
- Provide leadership for a small AP/AR team, driving process improvements and efficiency.
- Contribute to costing initiatives and financial modelling to support operational decisions.
- Partner with the business to identify financial implications of operational strategies and drive continuous improvement.
