Overview
As the Fiscal Officer at Hamilton County, you will support key sections within your department by managing budgets, monitoring financial activity, and guiding fiscal processes. You’ll serve as a resource to other departments when needed, offering financial insight and guidance while ensuring strong fiscal practices within your core areas of responsibility.
Summary ofJob Duties
- Leads and oversees fiscal planning, budgeting, financial monitoring, policy development, and financial operations while serving as the primary financial officer and providing comprehensive budget and accounting support across multiple county departments and agencies
- Serves as budget analyst by preparing and presenting departmental budgets and collaborating with leadership to align financial plans with organizational goals
- Ensures completion of ongoing fiscal duties; processes accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Assists with finance-related projects
- Bachelor’s Degree in finance or accounting
- Three (3) years public sector accounting experience
- Or equivalent combinations of training or experience

- 40 Hour Work Week, generally between core hours of 7:30–5:30
- Starting Pay: $29.28 an hour
