Overview

Contemporary Staffing Solutions is seeking a Controller to join our client and support the financial leadership of a growing construction organization. In this role, you will guide daily accounting operations, strengthen cash flow visibility, and deliver meaningful financial reporting that informs executive decisions. You will also partner closely with project and operations teams to connect financial performance with real-time business activity.

This position is 100% onsite in Cincinnati, OH and is a direct-hire opportunity.

$120,000 – $130,000/year

Monday–Friday, standard business hours

• Oversee cash flow activity, ensuring accurate forecasting, strong liquidity management, and proactive insights into financial risks and opportunities.
• Lead monthly financial reporting, delivering clear analyses, KPI tracking, and variance reviews to support executive strategy and operational decisions.
• Guide project teams with job level financial data, including cost performance, profitability trends, and budget alignment.
• Direct core accounting functions—general ledger, AP/AR, payroll, job cost accounting—while reinforcing GAAP compliance and internal controls.
• Manage annual budgets, periodic forecasting cycles, and coordination with auditors, lenders, and external accounting partners.

• A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline—or equivalent hands on experience in comparable roles.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting or finance experience, ideally within the construction sector and with exposure to job costing and percentage of completion methods.
• Demonstrated ability to manage cash flow, prepare financial statements, and interpret data for leadership teams.
• Experience with construction accounting platforms (such as Procore, Foundation, or similar) and comfort supporting executive level stakeholders.
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate financial concepts clearly across the business.
