Director of Financial Planning and Analysis

Brixey and Meyer Capital, LLC ("BMC") is a private investment firm targeting investments in lower middle market businesses across a range of industries. BMC has raised over $200M of committed capital and invested into 19 companies since their inception in 2015. Investments are approached with a growth and partnership mindset, with BMC providing strategic and operational support as well as continued access to capital.

BMC is seeking to add an FP&A Director to the Portfolio Management Consulting Team. As part of this team, the Staff Accountant will have oversight of the FP&A function and performance within portfolio companies.

Your Responsibilities:

• Partner with Portfolio Company executives to focus on business improvements through FP&A to drive growth, monitor performance, and identify opportunities for optimization.
• Work with Managing Director of Portfolio Management to find efficiencies within the businesses to maximize output, reduce costs, and eliminating redundant processes through automation and data-driven decisions.
• Oversee the development of strategic financial models and forecasts.
• Review monthly/quarterly P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow reports.
• Present financial strategies and data-driven recommendations
• Monitor and analyze performance across BMC’s portfolio companies, providing insights and actionable recommendations.
• Partner with portfolio companies to support strategic financial and operational initiatives.
• Review and refine work products to ensure accuracy and logical presentation.
• Assist with special projects for the BMC Leadership Team as needed.

Required:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Business.
• 10+ years of experience in finance or related roles.
• Advanced financial modeling, budgeting, and reporting.
• Strong leadership, strategic thinking, and the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of an organization.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment with fluctuating priorities and deadlines.

Work is performed in a fast-paced office setting, often with frequent interruptions. Duties may require sitting for long periods of time.

This position will be required to travel to portfolio company sites in various states and may need to drive a vehicle to some locations.
