A great UHY client is seeking a Controller to lead accounting and financial operations within a long-standing, family-owned manufacturing organization. This role will oversee general ledger activities, support process improvements and automation initiatives, and play a key role in helping modernize financial and operational processes within a stable and growing business environment.

The Controller role is a fully onsite position based in Cincinnati, OH. This is a permanent, direct-hire opportunity offering long-term stability, strong leadership visibility, and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact within a closely held organization.

• Oversee general ledger accounting and month-end close activities
• Support financial reporting, reconciliations, and daily accounting operations
• Assist with process improvements, automation initiatives, and operational upgrades
• Help modernize and maintain accounting spreadsheets and reporting processes
• Support inventory, manufacturing, and operational accounting activities
• Collaborate with leadership on process improvements and business initiatives
• Assist with front office and administrative responsibilities as needed
• Partner cross-functionally with operations and office staff to support overall business needs
• Manufacturing industry experience strongly preferred
• Experience working in a small to mid-sized company environment preferred
• Experience with Epicor is a plus
• Strong problem-solving and process improvement mindset
• Ability to work hands-on in a collaborative, team-oriented environment
• Strong communication skills and ability to interact with a diverse workforce
• Willingness to adapt, improve processes, and support operational changes
