Overview

Cerity Partners is hiring a Tax Manager for its Louisville-based Central Tax Team. The role can be remote, but a presence in the Louisville office is preferred. This position focuses on integrated tax, estate, and financial planning, working with high-net-worth individuals and families across the U.S.

• Review and sign individual and business tax returns for high‑net‑worth and ultra‑high‑net‑worth clients nationwide.
• Lead tax planning conversations in collaboration with financial advisors, presenting strategy and projections in client‑facing meetings.
• Prepare and review tax projections for estimated payments, charitable strategies, retirement planning, and Roth conversions.
• Act as the dedicated tax advisor to clients and advisory teams, helping secure and deepen long‑term relationships.
• Mentor junior staff, sharing expertise and promoting professional growth across the team.
• Ensure tax compliance while identifying strategic planning opportunities to enhance the client experience.
• Contribute to process improvements, refining workflow and supporting scalability as the Central Tax team grows.

• Experience with private equity, executive compensation, high‑complexity K‑1 activity, and multi‑state filings at the individual level.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field (Master’s in Taxation a plus).
• CPA, EA, or JD designation required.
• 7+ years of experience in a similar setting.
• Proven experience working with high‑net‑worth individuals and family entities.
• Proficiency in technology‑driven tax workflows (Thomson Reuters experience preferred).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a client‑first mindset.
• Comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment.

$125,000 – $175,000, plus annual bonus targets.
