This role will collaborate closely with line-of-business actuarial modelers to ensure asset modeling aligns with product features, liability projections, and regulatory/financial reporting requirements. In parallel, this role will work with the Investments team to understand new asset purchases, portfolio strategies, investment guidelines, and emerging asset classes, ensuring timely and accurate modeling representation.

- Strong understanding of asset types such as bonds, mortgages, structured securities, and private equity
- Maintaining and updating current asset model in AXIS
- Collaborating with Investments to model newer more complex assets
- Creating and maintaining reinvestment strategies that align with company's ALM strategy
- Leadership and collaboration with hedging, investments, capital management, valuation, pricing etc.
- Documentation and quarterly reporting of asset metrics
- Monitoring industry developments and educational activity

- Bachelor's degree in actuarial, finance, or related field required
- 5-15 years of any actuarial or insurance investment experience
- Preferred ASA or CFA
- Demonstrated self-starter and effective individual contributor
- Experience in modeling software (Moody's AXIS preferred) required
- Strong leadership skills or the desire to develop them
- Excellent communication and influencing skills
- Ability to interact with and provide subject matter expertise to multiple functional areas
- Highly organized and able to lead successful projects without supervision
- Ability to work independently and effectively manage multiple projects with competing deadlines
- Experience with Python, SQL, coding programs
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills including the ability to quantify impacts and synthesize data from multiple sources and identify trends
