Responsible for managing accounting functions, analyzing financial performance, and supervising AP and AR.

• Analyze monthly P&L figures and prepare performance trend comments.
• Ensure timely and accurate completion of month-end close activities.
• Provide backup support to accounting staff to maintain continuity.
• Collaborate effectively with internal and external partners.
• Assist in the development and implementation of financial management, budgeting, and payroll system goals and priorities.
• Supervise Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable personnel.
• Review bank and balance sheet reconciliations and maintain general ledger.
• Verify accuracy of general ledger coding and prepare financial statements and reports.
• Coordinate preparation of external audit materials and work with auditors to verify financial information and procedures.
• Establish system controls for new financial systems and develop procedures to improve existing systems.
• Conduct supervisory responsibilities in accordance with company policies and applicable laws, including interviewing, hiring, training, performance appraisal, and disciplinary actions.

• B.S. in Accounting or Finance from an accredited institution.
• 3 to 5 years of experience in public accounting and/or financial management at a supervisory level or as department head.
• Extensive knowledge of general and cost accounting.
• Excellent math skills and aptitude for figures.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
• Effective supervisory skills.
• Proficiency with accounting software, spreadsheets, and word processing.
• Knowledge of Sage, D365, ADP, and/or Momentus a plus.
