Controller, Finance & Banking, Financial Manager

Scope of Position

We are looking for an experienced, self‑starter and detail‑oriented Controller to oversee financial operations within our manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in finance, cost accounting, and plant management. The Controller will report into and partner with the Head of Finance. This person will play a crucial role in driving financial performance, ensuring compliance, and optimizing operational efficiency.

• Direct Reports: AP Specialist / AR Specialist

• Financial Reporting and Analysis
  • Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
  • Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights and support decision‑making.
• Cost Accounting
  • Monitor production costs, inventory levels, and cost allocations.
  • Implement cost‑saving initiatives and process improvements.
  • Conduct regular cost analysis to optimize resource allocation in coordination with department team members.
• Internal Controls and Compliance
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, GAAP, and relevant regulations.
  • Maintain and improve effective internal controls.
  • Own/Coordinate audits and address audit findings.
• Inventory Management
  • Monitor inventory levels, valuation, and accuracy.
  • Collaborate with production and supply chain teams to optimize inventory turnover.
  • Improve Consigned Inventory (External Warehouse) Controllership.
  • Implement inventory control procedures including improving the Current Cycle Count process.
  • Provide financial guidance to plant management and operational teams.
  • Identify opportunities for cost reduction and revenue enhancement.
• Credit Management
  • Manage the Credit Process and drive credit management improvements.
  • Assist in Driving Cash Efficiencies.
• Team Management
  • Lead and develop a team of financial professionals.
  • Foster a collaborative and results‑driven work environment.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA/MBA is preferred).
• Minimum of 7‑10 years of experience in finance or accounting.
• Proficiency with financial software (Epicor ERP/Grow/FP&A are a plus) as well as Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Power BI, etc.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
