Tax Manager
Job Summary
The Senior Tax Manager provides strategic leadership across tax compliance, planning, and advisory engagements while overseeing multiple client relationships and engagement teams. This role serves as a senior advisor to clients, supports firm growth initiatives, and ensures technical excellence, quality, and risk management within the tax practice.
Essential Functions- Provide oversight and leadership across multiple tax engagements and client portfolios
- Review complex tax returns, planning strategies, and advisory deliverables for quality and compliance
- Serve as a trusted advisor to clients on complex tax matters and structuring considerations
- Coach, develop, and evaluate tax managers and engagement teams
- Support business development, client retention, and firm growth initiatives
- Contribute to firm-wide initiatives, technical guidance, and risk management efforts
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Taxation, or related field
- Active CPA license
- Extensive knowledge of federal, state, and local tax regulations
- Demonstrated experience managing complex tax engagements and multiple client relationships
- Strong leadership, communication, and project management skills
- Experience with complex tax structuring, multi-entity clients, or specialized tax areas
- Prior experience leading tax planning or advisory practices
- Prolonged periods of sitting and computer use
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally
- Ability to exercise advanced professional judgment, strategic thinking, and manage competing priorities
- On‑Site
- Travel to client locations and firm offices as needed
- Moderate noise level typical of a professional office environment

- 37.5‑hour standard workweek outside of busy season
