The Director of Finance serves as a strategic leader responsible for overseeing the organization’s financial health, planning, and performance. This role ensures that financial strategy is tightly aligned with business objectives, enabling sustainable growth, operational excellence, and long‑term value creation. The Director brings a forward‑looking, analytical mindset—connecting financial insights to execution and guiding data‑driven decision‑making across all functions.

As a key member of the leadership team, the Director of Finance develops and executes financial strategies that enhance profitability, optimize resource allocation, and strengthen fiscal discipline across both recurring and project‑based revenue streams. This role also oversees all accounting and financial operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and transparency while fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.

In addition, the Director manages critical financial levers including working capital, vendor relationships, and banking partnerships to maintain financial stability while enabling strategic investments in people, systems, and growth initiatives.

Key Priorities
  • Lead Financial Strategy:
    Develop and execute a forward‑looking financial strategy that drives growth, improves profitability, and ensures alignment across all business units.
  • Build Scalable Infrastructure:
    Design and implement scalable financial systems, reporting frameworks, and automated processes that enhance visibility, efficiency, and decision‑making agility.
  • Develop High‑Performing Teams:
    Lead and mentor finance and accounting teams to foster a culture of fiscal responsibility, operational excellence, compliance, and cross‑functional collaboration.
Requirements Essential Responsibilities
  • Financial Strategy & Leadership
  • Serve as the financial leader for business unit performance, providing clear insights, analysis, and driven decision‑making.
  • Develop and execute financial strategy aligned with business growth (organic, partnerships, and M&A).
  • Translate financial insights into operational priorities for sales, service delivery, and support.
  • Define optimal financial targets and collaborate with business unit leaders on operational targets.
  • Revenue & Profitability Management
  • Oversee recurring revenue (MRR/ARR) and project‑based revenue.
  • Monitor contract profitability by client, service line, and SLA commitments.
  • Implement frameworks to identify financial variances, diagnose root causes, and execute cost‑reduction/efficiency programs.
  • Planning, Forecasting & Analysis
  • Participate in strategic planning processes across all business units.
  • Facilitate budgeting processes across all business units.
  • Build rolling forecasts and budgets tailored to recurring revenue dynamics.
  • Provide visibility into churn, upsell/cross‑sell opportunities, CLTV, and utilization metrics.
  • Deliver timely and accurate dashboards and financial reporting to the executive committee and stakeholders.
  • Cash Flow & Working Capital Management
  • Manage cash flow given delayed collections, vendor cycles, and upfront hardware/software costs.
  • Oversee billing/collections to minimize DSO and improve working capital.
  • Support lending activities through proformas, ongoing reporting, compliance, and banking relationships.
  • Risk Management & Compliance
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP/IFRS, tax law, and industry regulations (HIPAA, SOC 2, etc.).
  • Facilitate frameworks for variance/risk monitoring and opportunity management.
  • Mergers, Acquisitions & Special Projects
  • Manage financial aspects of industry partnerships to ensure alignment with organizational financial goals (sales‑related).
