6 Month Contract to Hire
Compensation: $23-$25 per hour
ABOUTTHE ROLE
Our client is seeking a Mortgage Disclosure and Compliance Specialist for a 6-month contract-to-hire opportunity in a hybrid role based in Columbus or Greensburg, Indiana;
Cincinnati, Ohio; or Louisville, Kentucky. In this role, you will ensure that real estate secured loans meet company, regulatory, and internal lending requirements. You will be responsible for preparing mortgage disclosures, reviewing loan files for accuracy and completeness, and collaborating with lending teams to resolve documentation and compliance issues. The ideal candidate will have at least two years of experience in mortgage lending, consumer lending, banking, audit, compliance, or loan processing, with strong attention to detail, organizational, and communication skills.
Experience with Encompass or other loan origination systems is preferred, and a bachelor’s degree is desirable.
- Prepare initial disclosures, Loan Estimates, redisclosures, and prequalification disclosures within required time frames.
- Review loan files for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with internal policies and applicable regulations.
- Collaborate with loan officers, processors, and other lending staff to resolve documentation deficiencies and compliance concerns.
- Monitor loan activity for expiration dates, Regulation B requirements, compliance testing, and required follow-up.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of mortgage products, fees, lending systems, and regulations, while identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and accuracy.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- At least two years of experience in mortgage lending, consumer lending, banking, audit, compliance, loan processing, or a related field.
- Strong attention to detail, organization, communication, and time management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple files and meet regulatory deadlines.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Experience with Encompass or other loan origination systems preferred.
