We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Accounting Manager to join our team in the manufacturing industry. This permanent position will play a crucial role in our finance department.

Salary: $95,000 – $120,000 per year.

Job Details

Key responsibilities include general accounting functions, account reconciliations, financial statements, budgeting, general ledger, financial analysis, forecasting, fixed assets, cash flow management, tax incentives, SEC filings, footnotes, consolidation, pension, month‑end, 10‑Q, and 10‑K.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee and manage the general accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and tax compliance.
  • Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Perform monthly balance sheet, income statement, and changes in financial position/budget variance analyses.
  • Manage the budgeting process, develop forecasts and budgets, monitor performance against budget, and develop corrective action plans.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal reporting requirements and tax filings.
  • Coordinate preparation of SEC filings (10‑Q and 10‑K) and manage internal and external reviews.
  • Manage the company’s fixed assets and ensure proper recording of new purchases and disposals.
  • Manage cash‑flow position, including preparation of cash‑flow forecasts.
  • Oversee pension administration, ensuring timely reporting and compliance.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures with emphasis on internal controls.
  • Collaborate with external auditors to ensure successful audit results and compliance.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • 3+ years progressive accounting experience, preferably in public accounting.
  • Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Experience with SEC reporting and compliance.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently with minimal direction.
  • Knowledge of ERP systems and related technologies.
  • CPA or CMA certification preferred.
