Job Overview
The Department of Emergency Medicine at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine is seeking a Financial Administrator to oversee the planning and supervision of fiscal administrative activities of a unit.
Essential Functions- Reconcile bank statements, general ledger accounts, and accounts payable/receivable monthly.
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable, ensuring accurate and timely payments.
- Maintain the general ledger and prepare journal entries.
- Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual closing procedures.
- Prepare and assist in budget‑related tasks.
- Assist in the development and documentation of department policies and procedures.
- Assist in the development and input of financial transactions into university systems.
- Perform related duties based on departmental need.
- Bachelor's Degree in accounting or related field.
- Four (4) years of relevant work experience and/or other specialized training can be used in lieu of education requirement.
- Related finance or accounting experience.
- Office environment; no specific unusual physical or environmental demands.
