Position: Financial Administrator 1, Department of Emergency Medicine

Job Overview

The Department of Emergency Medicine at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine is seeking a Financial Administrator to oversee the planning and supervision of fiscal administrative activities of a unit.

Essential Functions
  • Reconcile bank statements, general ledger accounts, and accounts payable/receivable monthly.
  • Process accounts payable and accounts receivable, ensuring accurate and timely payments.
  • Maintain the general ledger and prepare journal entries.
  • Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual closing procedures.
  • Prepare and assist in budget‑related tasks.
  • Assist in the development and documentation of department policies and procedures.
  • Assist in the development and input of financial transactions into university systems.
  • Perform related duties based on departmental need.
Required Education
  • Bachelor's Degree in accounting or related field.
  • Four (4) years of relevant work experience and/or other specialized training can be used in lieu of education requirement.
Required Experience
  • Related finance or accounting experience.
Physical Requirements /Work Environment
  • Office environment; no specific unusual physical or environmental demands.
