Great American Financial Institution Services specializes in providing risk management and product enhancement programs to vehicle lenders and lessors, commercial equipment lenders, auto dealers and mortgage lenders throughout the U.S. and Canada. Target clients include commercial banks, credit unions, finance companies, buy‑here pay‑here dealers and leasing and rental concerns. The division insures all forms of collateral securing mortgages, retail installment contracts and loans.

This includes but is not limited to residential and commercial real property, commercial vehicles, commercial contents and equipment, motorcycles, recreational vehicles, watercraft and aircraft.

Great American Financial Institution Services provides insurance products through agents and General Agents specializing in providing solutions for financial institutions’ needs. With an average experience level of over 20 years, the team is staffed with an energetic group of professionals empowered to respond quickly and decisively to the needs of our target clients and producer partners.

The Financial Institution Services Division is hiring for a Senior Financial Reporting Analyst! Employees in this role are expected to be onsite four days a week, with the flexibility to work one day remotely. Core in‑office days are Tuesday–Thursday, with the fourth day determined by business needs.

Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities
  • Analyzes, evaluates, and interprets large volumes of data from diverse sources to support business objectives.
  • Ensures data integrity and accuracy by performing comprehensive data audits and validation checks.
  • Maintains and updates databases, ensuring data is organized and accessible for reporting purposes.
  • Maintains advanced reports to provide actionable insights to stakeholders.
  • Collaborates with various departments to understand and address their complex data reporting requirements.
  • Presents findings and strategic recommendations to management and other stakeholders in a clear, impactful manner.
  • Identifies and implements process improvements to enhance data collection, analysis, and reporting efficiency.
  • Maintains updated knowledge of industry best practices and emerging trends in data analytics and reporting, integrating new methodologies as appropriate.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
  • Education:

    Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Accounting, Insurance/Risk Management, or a related field or equivalent experience.
  • Experience:

    Generally, a minimum of 5 years of experience in Insurance, Banking, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in analyzing moderately complex data sets and identifying patterns, trends, and insights.
  • Proficiency in reporting and data analysis tools such as Excel.
  • Develops and maintains knowledge of data sources’ content and structure to assess data quality.
  • Demonstrates understanding of industry products and coverages and applies that knowledge to support business activities.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to explain data insights to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Works under general supervision, relying on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
