If you want to build a long-term advisory career and meaningfully impact the clients and communities we serve, we would like to meet you.

About Benchmark

Benchmark Wealth is an employee-owned, boutique Registered Investment Advisor (RIA) firm based in Cincinnati, Ohio, proudly serving high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth individuals and families across the Midwest and Florida.

We are rooted in our core values — trust, accountability, service, and stewardship — and strive to create an environment where both clients and team members thrive. Because we are independent and employee-owned, our advisors are accountable to our clients and to one another, not to a large corporation. There is no big-firm anonymity here, and no layers of bureaucracy between you and the work that matters.

You will be integrated into a tight-knit team, learn directly from them, and have a real voice in how we grow.

About the Role

The Associate Wealth Advisor role is a structured track towards becoming a Wealth Advisor at Benchmark, spanning one to three years depending on experience level and skill set. It is designed for an ambitious professional who wants to spend time on meaningful client work, develop genuine relationships, and grow into a lead advisor.

If you are a developing advisor, you will focus initially on supporting our financial planning and investment management process, client service calendar, as well as meeting preparation and follow-up, while learning Benchmark’s advisory process and supporting existing client relationships — with mentorship every step of the way.

If you are a more experienced advisor or CFP professional, you may step quickly into prospect meetings, referral relationships, new-client acquisition, or help to manage an existing book of business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial planning — build comprehensive financial plans addressing cash flow, risk management, wealth transfer, advanced scenario modeling
  • Investment management — support portfolio construction, rebalancing, and ongoing investment management
  • Client meetings — prepare portfolio reviews, agendas, and meeting materials; participate in client meetings and partner with our service team to drive follow-up and post-call execution
  • Client service — serve as a trusted point of contact, anticipating client needs and strengthening relationships over time
  • Insurance planning — Conduct life insurance needs analysis and policy reviews, and coordinate insurance planning and implementation.
  • Estate and tax — coordinate estate and tax planning with clients’ attorneys and CPAs, using systems such as Holistiplan and  to analyze the overall client picture and provide insight
  • Operational excellence — drive proactive execution and a first-class client experience
  • Business development — as experience allows, cultivate referral relationships and acquire new clients, building toward a lead advisor role
The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for someone who is relationship-oriented and planning-minded, humble but ambitious, detail-oriented, hardworking, and professional. You genuinely enjoy helping people, sweat the details, and want to build a long-term advisory career.

You thrive in a team-based environment, welcome mentorship and professional development, have excellent project management and communication skills, and are eager to grow into client relationship management and business development.

  • CFP designation preferred; active pursuit of the CFP strongly encouraged.
  • Securities licensing (e.g., Series 65/66 or equivalent) required, or expected to be obtained after hire.
