Join our client as an Assistant Controller, where you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping financial strategy, driving operational excellence, and supporting executive decision-making. This is a newly created, succession planning role—an incredibly RARE opportunity to join a one-of-a-kind, full-service single-family office providing comprehensive professional, financial, and personal services for multiple generations.

This position is on-site only in Cincinnati, OH, offering direct engagement with a close-knit team and leadership.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the preparation and analysis of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
• Record and reconcile complex transactions including transfers, gifts, sales, distributions, and estate planning activities.
• Prepare quarterly cash flow schedules and execute transactions to meet entity and individual funding needs.
• Oversee monthly assets under management fees, annual retainers, and quarterly profits interest transfers and payments.
• Assist in managing the Accounting team, providing guidance and support.
• Support audit preparation, including confirming investment balances and coordinating with external auditors.
• Maintain and update valuations for client properties and investment entities.
• Review and process financial institution updates, including interest and swap adjustments.
• Manage accounting functions for affiliated foundations, including donation tracking, payroll entries, and monthly reconciliations.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field;
  Master’s degree a plus.
• Big 4 or large regional/national CPA firm experience required at the Manager or Senior Manager level.
• CPA certification required.
• 10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership roles.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls.
• Proficiency in ERP systems and advanced Excel skills; experience with financial modeling is a plus.

Compensation

• Target salary $175,000 DOE
