The Cost Analyst is responsible for analyzing a company's costs and identifying opportunities for increased efficiency and profitability. This role involves collecting financial data, developing cost standards, preparing reports, and supporting budgeting and forecasting processes. The ideal candidate has strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a solid understanding of accounting principles and financial modeling.

Key responsibilities:

• Analyze costs of raw materials, labor, and overhead to determine product pricing and profitability.
• Prepare detailed reports comparing standard costs to actual production costs.
• Review Standard costs on a quarterly basis and propose adjustments as required
• Review Overhead allocations for accuracy
• Support Sales in pricing models as needed to prepare profitable estimating models
• Monitor cost variances and investigate root causes.
• Support month-end and year-end closing processes by providing accurate cost data.
• Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
• Modify and maintain cost accounting systems and procedures.
• Provide insights and recommendations to management on cost control and efficiency improvements.
• Collaborate with operations, procurement, and finance teams.
