The Business Officer of Student Affairs is hiring a Financial Administrator 2 to support Student Conduct & Community Standards, the Dean of Students Office (including the Bearcat Pantry & Resource Center), and Resident Education and Development (RED). The role focuses on overseeing the planning and supervision of fiscal administrative activities within a designated functional area.
Essential Functions- Oversee daily processing and accounting functions, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with university, local, state, and federal requirements, as well as generally accepted accounting principles.
- Prepare budgets and collaborate with functional units to develop forecasts, monitor, and report on financial results.
- Comprehend and enforce the University’s financial policies, applying them to various transactions and providing guidance to leadership.
- Monitor the financial status of budgetary allocations.
- Coordinate personnel functions for a functional area, as needed.
- Assist with processing, reconciliations, and training related to Bank of America (BOA) cards.
- Develop and maintain training materials and standard workflows for the Concur system.
- Communicate fiscal policy updates to the department, promoting awareness and compliance.
- Process supplier payments and manage other financial transactions within university financial systems (PACE).

- Bachelor’s Degree in accounting or a related field.
- Six (6) years of relevant work experience and/or specialized training may be used in lieu of the education requirement.
Two (2) years of finance or accounting experience.
Additional Qualifications Considered- Detail oriented and organized.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Ability to multi‑task and prioritize.
- Experience with Microsoft Office (Power BI and Excel).
- Experience with SAP.
- Higher Education experience.
