Position: Financial Administrator 1, College of Arts and Sciences, Hybrid

Job Overview

Financial Administrator 1 is responsible for the assigned financial activities of a business unit within the Natural Sciences division and will execute financial tasks to ensure operational efficiency.

Offers a hybrid work schedule: 3 days in office and 2 days remote for residents within OH/IN/KY after 90 days of training.

Essential Functions
  • Order supplies for assigned departments using various purchasing software programs.
  • Assist with travel expense reporting and guide faculty and students to adhere to the process.
  • Answer Concur questions in adherence with the Travel Policy of travelers.
  • Process cash advances in Concur in adherence with UC policy.
  • Process invoices to ensure timely payment and correct account coding.
  • Process Personal Services Contracts & Limited Services Engagement forms in adherence with UC policy.
  • Perform related duties based on departmental need.
Required Education
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field.
  • Four (4) years of relevant work experience and/or specialized training can be used in lieu of the education requirement.
Required Experience

Related finance or accounting experience.

Additional Qualifications Considered
  • Experience working in higher education.
  • MS Excel skills (creating spreadsheets and using financial functions).
  • Strong organizational and time‑management skills.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Experience working with internal and external customers and partners.

Competitive salary of up to $51,030.00.
