Approaching $150M in assets, Tru Partner Credit Union located in Cincinnati, OH is currently in search of a proven closer for our consumer loans. Reporting directly to the VP of Lending, this individual serves as the final quality control checkpoint, notary, and closing officer for our four Cincinnati branch locations. This mobile role travels as needed between branches to take over the lending pipeline from front‑line Member Service Representatives (MSRs) after loans have been approved and are ready for closing.
The primary objective is to review loan applications, eliminate documentation omissions, serve as a legal Ohio Notary, and execute error‑free loan closings before funds are disbursed to members.

HoursMain coverage needed M-F 8:30-5:30, Sat 9-1; specific schedule to be determined and divided with other MSR(s) and manager.

Essential Functions and Basic Duties- Pre‑Closing Quality Audit:
Reviews consumer loan files, catches & corrects missing fields, unverified income, or formatting errors. - Close Loans:
Travels between branches to conduct in‑person loan signings and support front‑line teams. - On‑Site Notarization:
Acts as official Ohio Notary Public to execute vehicle liens, second mortgages, and HELOC documents. - Flawless Execution:
Walks members through forms, obtains signatures, eliminates omissions. - Link Perfection:
Hands loans to Loan Collateral Specialist for title applications and county recordings. - Internal
Coaching:
Provides feedback on file quality to MSRs to reduce errors. - Document Retention:
Ensures scans and archiving in imaging system. - Assists Loan Collateral Specialist with lien filings and releases.
- Works with Lending Operations Manager to maximize efficiencies and optimize loan origination system.
- Maintains loan files (electronic and paper) and organizes member accounts.
- Assists with record retention projects for audits and compliance.
- Stays informed on changes in collection, collateral, record retention policies, and legal requirements.
- Performs other duties as assigned: backs up other lending personnel with related admin tasks.
- 1‑3 years in banking, credit union operations, title companies, or consumer loan processing (prior experience as a loan officer or closer highly preferred).
- Previous hands‑on experience with loan collateral processing.
- Previous experience handling lending‑related insurance products.
- Audit Mindset: Strong attention to detail, spotting data discrepancies, omissions, and missing signatures.

Calculating corrections and verifying income with paystubs or tax returns. - Communication & Discretion: Effective interpersonal skills, professional & empathetic handling of member interactions.
- Time Management & Initiative: High level of initiative, strong work ethic, manages time, prioritizes tasks, maintains productivity while moving between branches.
- Problem‑Solving: Resolves documentation issues before funding.
- Technical Proficiency: Proficient in computer software and business equipment, training on internal systems will be provided.
- 100% in‑office requirement; remote not available.
- Fast‑paced environment with monthly funding goals and strict legal timelines.
- Daily local travel between branches using personal or credit union‑supplied vehicle (mileage reimbursed at standard IRS rate).
- Must be able to carry laptop & notary kit between offices.
