Institutional Support Representative II

Securities Brokerage – Institutional Operations

General Function

This role covers responsibilities within Institutional Brokerage Operations, supporting Capital Markets Fixed Income, Equity, and Money Market Navigator Sales & Trading departments. The incumbent assists the Institutional Brokerage teams, Middle Office, Traders, and sophisticated clients with operational aspects such as onboarding, settlement, maintenance, cashiering processes, reporting, and projects. Accountability for risk, adherence to policies, and maintaining a positive customer experience are central to the role.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Serve as front‑line support between management and lines of business including Middle Office, Compliance, IT, Trading, Accounting, Broker Dealer, NFS/Pershing, and third‑party vendors.
  • Adhere to securities laws, regulations, and internal policies within a changing regulatory environment.
  • Work directly with business lines, NFS, and custodians to meet DVP/RVP settlement obligations and resolve trade concerns in compliance with Regulation T, 15c3, 15C6‑1, 15C6‑2, and related rules.
  • Monitor and assist with timely allocation and affirmation of .
  • Oversee operational functions within the Money Market Navigator platform.
  • Accurately code new brokerage account client profiles for books and record keeping.
  • Perform client CIP checks per AML policy and beneficial ownership rules, entering documentation into ACE and NFS/Pershing systems.
  • Handle account maintenance and act as intermediary for prime brokerage account coding.
  • Process high‑value asset and money movements to ensure accurate and timely completion, coordinating with custodians.
  • Manage collateral for institutional brokerage, ensuring proper coding, archiving, and release approval.
  • Establish, maintain, and audit firm and individual brokerage entitlements for institutional and commercial clients.
  • Enter trade orders for fixed income, stocks, and mutual funds through NFS/Pershing platforms.
  • Process brokerage trade corrections for equity trades entered in Wealthscape or NetX
    360.
  • Produce daily reports and monitor account activities for settlement, margin, risk exposure, and clearing firm discrepancies.
  • Assist with compliance issues related to fixed income products and internal/external audits.
  • Provide training and guidance to junior staff.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities

Minimum Knowledge & Skills Required
  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience.
  • Current Securities Industry Essentials (SIE) and Series 7 and 63/66 licenses.
  • 3+ years of experience in a financial operations role.
  • 3–5 years of experience with brokerage accounts.
  • Prior experience with Bloomberg TOMS.
  • Knowledge of fixed income, equity, and mutual fund trading.
  • Conflict‑resolution skills for de‑escalating high‑impact situations.
  • Ability to work in a high‑stress, time‑sensitive environment, meeting deadlines and multitasking with minimal supervision.
  • Familiarity with trading systems, including web and mainframe platforms.
  • Strong problem‑solving and critical‑thinking skills.
  • Mathematical and organizational skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication.
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, and other MS Office products.
