• Independently manage a portfolio of tactical clients, with primary responsibility for cross‑sell, return generation, and first line of defense.
• Understand and evaluate complex financial models and perform complex financial analysis.
• Create high‑impact presentation materials using PowerPoint, Excel, Word and other relevant applications.
• Work well as part of a team in a high‑pressure environment and develop good working relationships with peers and senior leaders in Corporate Banking and the rest of the organization.
• Manage priorities while working on multiple high‑priority engagements simultaneously.
• Serve as direct support to Executive Directors and provide internal and external presentations to support the efforts of the relationship managers on the team.
• Manage, mentor, and develop staff including analysts and associates.
• Interact independently with key constituencies during the development and delivery of strategic, client‑facing assignments.
• Provide support to Capital Markets businesses by assessing suitability of securities products and capital markets services for clients and working with Capital Markets teams to deliver those products.

• Undergraduate degree required; graduate degree preferred.
• 7‑8+ years of experience in banking, investment banking, M&A or capital markets preferred.
• 4+ years of corporate banking analysis and sales management preferred.
• Strong corporate finance and credit skills required; underwriting experience preferred.
• Proven track record of success in originating, closing complex financial transactions, pitching, winning and executing on corporate finance ideas.
• Excellent oral and written presentation skills.
• Strong relationship‑building skills and the ability to interact effectively with senior executives inside and outside the organization.
• Securities Industry Essentials (SIE), Series 79 and 63 licenses required per Fifth Third guidelines.

• Professional proficiency acquired through 7‑8+ years of relevant work or internship experience in finance, accounting or a related field.
• Proven leadership and collaboration across matrixed organizations and cross‑functional teams.
• Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong project management capabilities and the ability to lead teams and initiatives.
• Deep understanding of financial markets, corporate strategy and client engagement.
• Ability to synthesize market intelligence into actionable insights and strategic recommendations.
• Ability to obtain and maintain required securities licenses in accordance with company policy.

• Client advisory and relationship management – lead conversations, build trust and deliver tailored solutions that deepen client relationships.
• Origination and commercial impact – identify opportunities, develop pitches and convert ideas into revenue‑generating engagements.
• Team leadership and development – mentor, develop and lead high‑performing teams.
• Market insight and thought leadership – translate market trends into strategic content and client engagement strategies.
• Team management – cultivate high‑performing teams, participate in talent acquisition and management activities, align roles to priorities, and make compensation recommendations during performance review cycles.

• Total base pay range: 96,500‑207,500 USD annually.
• Eligible to participate in an incentive compensation plan based on company, line of business and/or individual performance.
