Overview
General role within Securities Services covering areas such as settlements, mutual fund settlements, outside trade support, or corporate actions. Responsible for risk-aware processing and ensuring accurate trade support, clearance/settlement/investigations, and confirmations with supervision as defined.
General FunctionThis role will be required to cover a broad area of responsibilities within Securities Services in one of the following areas: settlements, mutual fund settlements, outside trade support or corporate actions. Expected to perform activities inclusive of trade support, clearance/settlement/investigations, and confirmations with direct supervision. Accountable for risk management and adherence to policies to promote a positive customer experience.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Handle securities processing tasks including independently processing transactions of high dollar value.
- Verify trade settlement information at depository and in proprietary systems.
- May execute new trades/instructions in various markets.
- Process cash movements accurately and timely according to deadlines and department procedures.
- Demonstrate accuracy and timeliness in work as evidenced by audits by senior securities analyst and/or department manager.
- Research and resolve questions from internal and external parties and communicate resolution promptly.
- Serve as first-line contact for issues from administrators, custody representatives and investment staff.
- Contact counter parties to follow up on outstanding settlement issues, report and research fail activity, and communicate settlement issues with administration, vendors, depositories and other parties per customer service guidelines.
- Promote teamwork and participate in cross-training of team members.
- Perform any other duties as assigned.

Minimum Knowledge,Skills and Abilities
Required
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum 1 year of operations experience in securities clearance preferred.
- Basic understanding of investments.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for internal and external clients.
- Professional customer service skills focused on delivering exceptional service.
- Strong mathematical and organizational skills.
- Ability to solve problems with intuitive judgment and a systematic approach.
- Ability to work in a stressful environment and meet deadlines.
- Strong interpersonal/relationship skills.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to recognize and resolve potential issues promptly.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and aptitude for learning other business-specific software.
