Qualifications- Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or other relevant field
- Proven track record of building and managing a highly effective team
- Strong financial/budget acumen
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Proficiency with IT systems and reporting process
- 4-5 years experience in Management in Healthcare
- 7-10 years experience in Professional Finance
This position has overall financial accountability for the Corporate Health business unit and management of its day‑to‑day financial and administrative operations, including accounting, accounts payable, billing/collections, annual operating budget, capital budgets, financial statement/invoice preparations and call center management. It is responsible for financial input into Corporate Health’s strategic business planning process and continual analysis of the business unit’s financial operations and identification of opportunities to reduce costs, enhance the customer experience, increase revenues, and refine financial reporting.
The role provides financial guidance and leadership to the business line managers and communicates Corporate Health’s financial position to senior leadership.
Responsibilities include ensuring compliance with basic accounting principles, providing financial benchmarking, and maintaining compliance with all applicable state and federal program requirements, with emphasis on the Ohio Bureau of Workers' Compensation. The role negotiates Ohio BWC fees and serves as a liaison to the Ohio BWC board for legislative activities. It also collaborates with the Tri Health Managed Care department to manage billing and compliance with third‑party payers for services rendered by the Corporate Health division.
Key Responsibilities- Financial Operations: Manage daily financial operations of Corporate Health, oversee month‑end closing, prepare journal entries, produce financial statements/invoices, communicate results to leadership, develop capital budget, monitor budget variances, and collaborate on action plans.
- Administrative Operations: Lead process improvement initiatives for financial and administrative processes, monitor quality indicators, review processes, and identify opportunities for efficiency, customer experience, and cost reduction.
- Compliance: Maintain compliance with all applicable state and federal program requirements, negotiate BWC fees, oversee contracting and quality compliance, and manage billing compliance with third‑party payers.
- Reporting: Develop financial tracking, billing, and reporting processes, interface with Tri Health areas, and implement KPIs and business performance management.
- Customer Relations: Understand internal and external customer needs, develop action plans, and implement measures to exceed expectations.
