Managing Director, Corporate Investment Bank – Metals, Materials, & Construction Group

Location:

Cincinnati, Ohio 45202.

Responsibilities
  • Grow and retain relationships with a targeted client group by coordinating all aspects of the client relationship through the delivery of value‑added financial solutions, ranging from traditional to customized products.
  • Develop and execute a business development strategy to generate new business, including cross‑selling loans, deposits, fee income, and other bank services to existing and non‑customers.
  • Provide leadership and direction to credit staff, fostering communication between customers and internal teams from application through closing.
  • Coordinate client‑facing activities, including credit support and collaboration with product areas such as Treasury Management.
  • Review and underwrite credit requests, ensuring appropriateness and satisfaction of existing services and meeting risk appetite.
  • Prepare and present credit proposals, ensuring they are complete, viable, and supported by sound repayment sources.
  • Monitor ongoing customer performance and industry trends to maintain acceptable risk levels.
  • Attend community, industry forums, conferences, and meetings to broaden the relationship network and deepen knowledge of trends.
  • Support Capital Markets businesses by assessing the suitability of securities products and services for clients and coordinating with Capital Markets teams.
Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree required; graduate degree preferred.
  • 8–10+ years of experience in Banking, Investment Banking, M&A, or Capital Markets.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience at the Director level.
  • Strong corporate finance and credit skills with a proven track record of originating and closing complex financial transactions.
  • Proven ability to pitch, win, and execute corporate finance ideas; leadership experience in a growing financial services business.
  • Excellent oral and written presentation skills, and strong relationship‑building skills.
  • Capability to engage senior executives internally and externally.
  • Licenses as required: SIE, Series 79, and 63;
    Series 24 preferred.

  • Professional proficiency from 8+ years in finance, accounting, or related field.
  • Track record of leading teams to structure, negotiate, and execute complex transactions.
  • Mentor, train, retain, and develop talent within the team.

  • Collaboration, communication, and leadership capabilities.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain required securities licenses per company policy.
