Join a team that plays a critical role in supporting the onboarding, administration, and servicing of Personal Trust and Agency accounts within Wealth Management. As a Personal Trust New Account Onboarding Specialist, you will partner with Private Wealth Advisors and internal business partners to facilitate the opening and maintenance of fiduciary and investment management accounts while ensuring accuracy, compliance, and a high-quality onboarding experience.
This is an operations-focused, internal-facing role with no direct client communication. You'll work alongside a team of specialists who support a wide variety of account types and collaborate across multiple business areas to move accounts through the onboarding process efficiently and accurately.
- Support the onboarding and administration of new fiduciary and investment management accounts (IRAs, Charitable, Entity, Agency, Trust and Estate accounts, etc.)
- Review account requests and documentation for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with requirements.
- Prepare account opening agreements and onboarding documentation.
- Coordinate with internal partners throughout the onboarding lifecycle.
- Monitor account requests through multiple workflows, systems, and approval stages.
- Perform quality reviews before onboarding packages are transferred to account-opening teams.
- Complete account maintenance and recode requests for existing accounts.
- Help administer a variety of account types, including Trust, Estate, Agency, IRA, Charitable, Entity, and other fiduciary accounts.
- Ensure account administration aligns with governing documents, applicable state statutes, and company policies and procedures.
- Support risk management activities and maintain compliance with corporate and regulatory requirements.
- Meet established service-level expectations while maintaining a high level of accuracy and quality.
- Three years or more of related experience
- Bachelor's degree
- Personal trust, wealth management, trust, fiduciary or related financial services experience
- Experience supporting account onboarding, account administration, or financial operations.
- Familiarity with trust, estate, agency, investment management, retirement, or charitable account administration
- Knowledge of or the ability to quickly learn custody operational functions, systems, procedures, various products and/or services, for assigned area(s)
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
- Ability to multitask and meet established deadlines in a dynamic work environment
- Exhibits analytical, problem-solving, decision-making, and organizational skills
- Exhibits customer relation skills, interpersonal, and verbal and written communication skills
- Understanding of regulatory and accounting principles which directly affect Wealth, Corporate, Commercial, & Institutional Banking business lines and clients
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, preferably Excel
