Post Closing Specialist I – Cincinnati, OH
Join a leading consumer bank as a Post Closing Specialist I to review, remediate, and deliver loan closing documents to investors.
Responsibilities- Analyze defects identified in the closing package, determine and remediate issues per documented procedures using internal and external resources.
- Accurately annotate all findings and actions in the Mortgage Loan Origination System.
- Retrieve final documents from settlement agents, lenders, and county clerk offices for delivery to investors.
- Validate and audit final documents according to state, county, and investor guidelines and mortgage loan origination and servicing systems.
- Communicate with internal and external customers and third parties to resolve issues promptly, ensuring regulatory requirements met.
- Record, monitor, and report deficiencies and required remedies, including steps taken to resolve the issue.
- Ensure deficiencies are accurately resolved and documentation received within established deadlines.
- Image and deliver retrieved or corrected documents to appropriate departments using internal tracking software.
- Validate, communicate, and remediate salability issues on closed loans so they can be sold on the secondary market.
- Discern system issues and report them to management for proper escalation.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in closing, post‑closing, processing, or real estate documentation at a title company or financial institution (preferred).
Note:
This role is entry level. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to proactively resolve problems.
- Strong time management, attention to detail, and ability to work in a fast‑paced, process‑centered environment.
- Well organized and able to plan for and meet production deadlines.
- Proficient Microsoft Office suite skills (preferred).
- Pay: $22.13 per hour.
- Shift: Onsite, Monday‑Friday; 8 AM‑5 PM.
