Tax Intern

Job Overview

We are seeking a team player with a positive attitude and the highest level of personal integrity to join our tax team as a Tax Prep Intern. This is a paid internship program (25-30 hours per week January to Mid-April) and is designed to provide college students with an opportunity to enhance their formal education with a hands-on, career-related experience. This role is also ideal for someone looking for a part-time seasonal position in the financial industry at a nationally recognized registered investment advisory.

• Assist in the preparation of federal, state, and local individual and business income tax returns in Ultra Tax CS (tax preparation software).
• Create work papers in Engagement Manager (workpaper organization/preparation software) and Sure Prep (workpaper organization/preparation software) that effectively tell the story of how projects were prepared.
• Utilize Firm Flow (CRM/project management) and Go File Room  (document storage) to maintain an accurate status of workflows.
• Research and analyze a wide range of tax issues.
• Other duties as requested by Tax Advisors and Tax Administrators.

• Be enrolled in an undergraduate program at an accredited university with a minimum 3.2 GPA.
• Majoring in Finance, Accounting, or related business degree.
• Be proficient in Microsoft Office and Adobe Applications.
• Actively participating in campus organizations, preferably within a leadership role, and/or professional work experience.

• Strong collaboration, interpersonal and communication skills.
• Keen, consistent attention to detail.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.
