Apply learned emergency management principles, policies and best practices to assigned tasks and projects. Additionally, engage in mentorship opportunities with experienced emergency management professionals on staff.

Support public information efforts, including the development of outreach materials and preparedness messaging. Assist with community outreach events, training, or preparedness campaigns. This includes helping to communicate emergency management concepts to diverse audiences in a clear and professional manner.

Exercises and Projects:
Assist with the planning, coordination, and execution of emergency exercises and drills. Conduct research and data collection to support planning, exercises, or after-action activities. Provide support on day of exercises to include setup, registration and facilitation.

Evaluation and Feedback:
Participate in regular check-ins and evaluations to assess progress and learning outcomes. Incorporate feedback to improve performance and professional development throughout the internship.
